The Evangelical Community adopts the following fundamental principles:

a) We believe and accept that the Bible is the Word of God, written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit (2nd Tim. 3:16,17).

b) We believe that there is one living and true, eternal God, Creator of all things, and that in the unity of the same God there are three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:16; Matthew 28:19; I John 5:7).

c) We believe that Jesus Christ, Son of God, born of virgin Mary, is the Way, the Truth and the Life; He died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day.

d) We believe that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man (1st Tim 2:5) and that only by believing in Him does one receive remission of sins and, therefore, eternal life (Acts 10:43 - Acts 13:38,39).

e) We believe that everyone who repents and is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38) and, when the Holy Spirit comes upon him, he will be clothed with power, thus fulfilling the promise of Jesus, namely the baptism with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5,8). Furthermore, we believe that the fruit, signs and gifts of the Holy Spirit, will accompany those who have believed (Mark 16:17,18 - 1st Cor.12).

f) We practice water baptism, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, according to the commandment of Jesus (Matt.28:19). Baptism is administered only to those who believe in the Gospel and by immersion in water, just as Jesus himself received it (Mark 16:16 - Matt.3:16).

g) We preach the regeneration or new birth, which takes place through faith in Jesus Christ, by the "Word" and the "Holy Spirit". Only those who are born again can enter the Kingdom of God (Jn.3:5 - Ephesians.5:26 - 1st Peter 1:23).

h) We celebrate Holy Communion as it was instituted by Jesus, that is, with bread and wine. Only those who have been baptized in water may partake of the Lord's Supper. We celebrate Holy Communion in memory of Jesus, announcing His death until He comes (Luke 22:19 - 1st Cor. 2:23, 27).

i) We agree, according to the deliberation of the apostles in the Jerusalem conference, to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things choked, from fornication (Acts 15:20-29; Gen.9:4; Lev. 3:17).

l) We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, representing Him and continuing His work on this earth. The Church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the cornerstone. Christ is the Head of the Church, His bride. One day the Church will appear before Him holy, spotless, and blameless (Ephes. 5:23-27; Rev. 19:7-8; Ephesians 1:23).

m) We wait for the return of Jesus Christ and, when He returns, the Church will be raptured; the dead in Christ will rise and so we will always be with the Lord. Following the rapture of the Church, those who remain on this earth will undergo the severe judgments of God as they are described in the book of Revelation. After God's judgments, Jesus Christ will reign with His own for a thousand years on this earth and there will be peace, for during the millennium the devil will be bound (Mat. 24:39,41; I Thess. 4:16,17; Isa. 65:17-25; Rev. 3:10 - 20:1,2,6). n) We believe that there will be a final judgment for all men whose names are not found written in the book of life. These will be cast into the pool of fire, along with all the rebellious angels and Satan, our adversary, where they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Rev. 20:2-15).
